Electrical Installations & Maintenance ↓
We have both PASMA and IPAF-qualified technicians so are able to work at heights both internally and externally on all buildings and sites.
Inspection and Testing ↓
All tests after an inspection need to be carried out in a certain order, contained within the specified regulations. If there is a failure in any part of the testing regime, the test needs to be carried out again.
Fault Finding and Repairs ↓
Noticing your electricity bills have shot up (excluding any increases from your supplier)
When you put a plug into a socket you notice it sparking
You notice a buzzing sound coming from the walls
Flickering of your main lights (and you have already changed the light bulb)
There is a burning, fishy smell – immediately turn off the power if you notice this
Your electrics keep tripping and there isn’t an obvious overload or new item you have recently plugged into the circuit
DanBro Electrical offers an emergency response service for electrical fault-finding, and if we are unable to attend immediately we can usually find one of our electricians who can be with our clients within that working day or the next morning, depending on the time the callout is made
CCTV Security Systems ↓
DanBro Electrical Services only works with quality manufacturers who use proven technology which can be relied upon.
Your CCTV system is your first line of defence and is a clear visible sign you have taken your security seriously, enabling you to monitor your property 24/7, no matter where you are.
Why use an electrician to install your CCTV system? Using an electrical contractor means you have a qualified expert, working within the electrics of your home or business. Some properties still have older fuse boards and wiring and adding in modern technology can require specific skills, so using a contractor that understands both the electrics of your home or business, as well as the ability to install a new CCTV system and cameras if often the most cost-effective and technically safest way to manage the installation.
Garden or external lighting ↓
As well as create stunning external outdoor living areas, including electrical cooking areas, lighting and electrics for swimming pool rooms and garden areas, and lighting for outdoor tennis courts.
Our team have many years of experience working alongside landscapers and landscape gardeners creating a complete garden lighting design, working with low-energy lighting to provide beautiful gardens with efficient power usage.
Commercial Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) ↓
Full Electrical Re-Wires & New installations (Domestic and Commercial) ↓
A full electrical rewire involves 2 stages, generally called first and second fixes. The first fix is generally carried out before the plasterboard has been fitted, when all the wiring will be installed and the back boxes for the light switches and the plug sockets put in place as per the client’s specification or the designer/architect’s drawings.
During the second fix, after the plastering and decorating is complete, the electrics are connected, and additional sockets like cooker points will be fitted along with smoke and fire alarms.
Rewiring your property is regulated by law and you will need a part B qualified electrician.
Emergency Lighting Installation, Repairs and Testing ↓
It is a legal obligation for you to ensure the emergency lighting is in good working order and meets requirements. Emergency lighting is a requirement in UK Law with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety 2005), The Building Regulations 2006, The Workplace Directive.
There should be a testing regime internally when all areas are tested every month (recommended), called the Flick Test, and there should be a log kept of these tests and inspections. In line with BS 5266-1, there is a legal requirement for a 3-hour annual inspection, where the primary lighting circuit is switched off and the emergency lighting is left on for 3-hours. All the lights must remain on during that time.
Minor Works (Changing Light Fittings, accessories, additional sockets, switches and lights) ↓
Minor Works could include the issuing of a Minor Works Certificate or an Installation certificate. These tend to be requested by facility companies or facility managers who run commercial premises, and might also be required by a landlord of a tenanted property, or a property manager working on behalf of a landlord. Minor works certificates could be issued for changes of a plug socket, extension and adding on a new socket and an installation certificate may be used when installing a new oven into a rental property.
AV & Data Installations↓
We are an NICEIC registered contractor, giving our clients the peace of mind the installation meets all current legislation and industry standards.
We also provide installations of home cinemas.
Fire Alarm and Smoke Alarm Installations ↓
You could also install an F1 & F2 Smoke and Heat Alarm, which are battery-powered and don’t need an electrician to be installed. However, according to Government statistics (between April 2020 – March 2021) nearly 20% of all homes experienced a fire the battery was missing or defective.
There are regulations for a landlord that differ significantly from a private dwelling. A Landlord could get a fine of up to £5000 if they don’t comply to the Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide (Amendment) Regulations 2022 Please follow this link to the Government website for more information:
All commercial premises must have a Fire Detection system in place (not all smaller offices). They will all generally need a Fire Alarm System, including Emergency Lighting.
We have NICEIC-qualified engineers who can assess the needs of your property or business, design and then install a fully integrated system to meet your needs and satisfy regulatory requirements.

If you have commercial premises and are looking for a team of electricians to support the in-house maintenance teams, we are happy to provide an individual price for callouts based on the needs of the business.

Repairs, Refurbishments or refit or Fit-outs ↓
What do we classify as an electrical refurbishment?
An electrical refurbishment is looking at your current space where you service your clients or trade from and you like the building and the area, but the premises need to be fully upgraded or modernised. We can work with your business when it is fully operational, providing out-of-hours work or a clean working environment so your day can continue, and trading isn’t affected.
What is an electrical refit or a fit-out?
An electrical refit is when we come into an empty building that has been used for a different purpose and you require a full strip out of your old electrics and then a completely new electrical system in the premises. A fit-out is when we come into a new facility that is being built or is ready to have an electrical installation as the property has now been bought or rented by a firm or retailer that has a special electrical requirement.
Smart Heating and Boiqualifler Controls (Hive, Nest, Heatmiser)↓
DanBro Electrical we work with a number of manufacturers and can recommend the right system for your home or business to suit your individual needs.
Smart Home Systems ↓
Smart Home Systems currently give our clients a way to run an energy-efficient home or business with some of the most advanced technology available, providing a 21st-century living or working space, these include:
Fire safety systems – defecting changes in temperature instantly and alerting you to a potential fire. Safety also includes Wi-Fi access locking out access to certain websites or content online to protect younger members of your family.
Door Entry and Security Systems – These smart systems enable our clients, to view their homes and businesses internally and externally with ease. Greater connectivity gives access remotely, motion and intruder warnings and can provide options for lighting and blinds creating the illusion of the property being occupied.
Heating and Cooling – Smart thermostats enable our clients to keep an ambient temperature in their premises constantly, using zone activation to provide the right temperature in the rooms most used.
Music and Home Entertainment – The majority of homes now have a smart TV, integrating this into your entertainment and speaker system throughout your home, providing access via tablets or phones to control music and entertainment in every room in the property, including garden rooms, or outside areas.
Lighting Control and Smart Blinds – Light and access to light can change a room, either in a business or your home. Correct lighting is essential for a productive workforce and good lighting in your home changes the feel of a room. Interior designers always use light and lighting features to open up spaces that can be hidden due to lack of light. Using a smart system to operate your internal blinds enables you to keep better control of the temperature of a room during the summer and hold in heat during the winter months.
Security Lighting ↓
These zones can be altered to ignore the movements of small animals like cats, hedgehogs and foxes, which can be annoying for neighbours.
Security Lighting is also helpful in the winter months when the clocks change and its darker when you return home from work or when your staff are leaving the offices to go out to their vehicles, the security lighting will create a lit pathway to the door or the car park.

Who we work with
What our clients say
We have used DanBro Electrical for a number of jobs but have recently completed a large kitchen rebuild project at our church which involved a large amount of wiring and electrical appliance installations. Steve and his team managed to complete the electrical installations at the right times when the builders needed them and did a nice job. We've been pleased with the finished work and would use DanBro again in the future.
